• Assistance with funding/grants: Depending on the current availability on grant funding, there may be a variety of grants available to assist you with the down payment, closing costs, and/or rehabilitation associated with health and safety concerns on the purchase of your first home. Eligibility varies based on the grant for which you are submitting an application.
• You will be eligible to work individually with a Housing Counselor to develop a homeownership plan
• We will help you review your finances, determine price range, create a savings program and focus on any credit issues
• We will teach you the best practices to maintain credit worthiness, so that you can qualify for a mortgage
• Our counselors work with you for as long as you need until you achieve your goal of homeownership

Who is it for?

Property owners of buildings built prior to 1980 and where there are two or more units (multi-family dwelling) with identified lead hazards

Properties inspected through NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH) CLPPP (Childhood Lead Prevention Program) or CLPPP+ where elevated blood lead levels have been detected in children or pregnant people

Properties must be located in the following zip codes: 13901 & 13905
