The Fiscal Department encompasses all aspects of the business cycle for a $10.5 million agency including payables, receivables, and financial reporting. Personnel/payroll services are provided to 165 employees, striving to make available the best services and benefit packages possible to our most important resources. In addition, we are responsible for meeting the training needs of the staff from their initial orientation training through continued updates and enhanced education during their tenure at the Agency.
Funding Sources
Greater Opportunities receives funding from the US Department of Health and Human Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency; from the New York State Department of State, the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, and Division of Housing And Urban Renewal; from Broome County’s Executive, Health, and Social Services departments, US Department of Agriculture, US Department of Treasury, NYSERDA as well as the local BOCES and several school districts, and a number of private foundations.
